At Eno Animal Hospital, we offer a full range of veterinary services to meet the needs of dogs and cats in Durham, Bahama, Butner, Rougemont, Creedmoor, and surrounding communities.
Dr. Grinstead and most Eno team members are certified Fear Free. We are 100% committed to happy visits with less stress and lots of love. Put your pet in the best hands at Eno.
Wellness care is by far our most core service. The best medicine is preventative medicine!
Wellness visits keep us informed of your unique pet’s “normal” health and help us catch any issues early. It is much easier and less expensive to prevent health problems than to treat them.
Wellness visits are essential to your pet’s health and happiness. Undetected issues go untreated; untreated issues often require serious, scary, and expensive treatments down the line.
The most important part of any wellness visit is the full physical exam. During this “nose-to-tail” time, your veterinarian will thoroughly access your pet’s eyes, ears, teeth, mouth, heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, stomach, intestines, joints, spine, skin, paws, and more. Wellness visits are also when we update vaccinations, perform essential lab work, and discuss anything and everything that supports the long-term health and happiness of your fur baby.
Vaccinating your pet is absolutely essential, especially in the community we call home. Durham is a beautiful place to hike, boat, fish, go to dog parks, and spend time outdoors…which is where scary diseases live. Vaccinating your dog or cat for rabies is required by N.C. state law. Core vaccines for dogs also include distemper/parvo and Bordatella, plus the influenza vaccine for boarding dogs. Core vaccines for cats include feline distemper.
The local risks for Lyme disease and the highly contagious leptospirosis—two viruses tied to exposure to wooded or grassy areas (where ticks thrive), standing water, and dog parks—often warrant protecting your pet with additional vaccinations for Lyme and lepto.
Looking for a pet vaccine near you? Eno Animal Hospital provides vaccination options for pets of all ages. Our vets will thoroughly review the benefits of each vaccination and the best vaccination plan for your pet’s unique needs and lifestyle. Remember: Vaccines save lives.
